removing key barel from Calibra steering column

Hello

Is there a special trick to remove the key barrel from a Calibra steering column?

I have a new steering column but I cannot remove the key barrel.

If you're talking about just the lock (rather than the whole housing), then yes there is a trick to it. There's a peg on the side of the housing that needs to be depressed - plus the key needs to be in the lock and in a certain orientation.

It's best to go Googling for the procedure.


If you want to transfer the whole lock and housing from one column to the other then you need to drill the shear bolts out.
