Not my car, but I thought I would punt it out to the knowledge base that is PH to see what comes back.

My sister recently took her Vauxhall Corsa in for a service. Gets it back and within a day or so, the starter motor goes. Takes it back to the garage, and gets said starter motor.Again, couple of days later, starter motor goes.Takes back to garage to be greeted with " Oh, it must be something else burning out the starter motor". Now, is habitual starter motor failure a common problem on Corsas, or is this garage taking advantage of the fact that my sisters knows next to nothing about cars.

All help appreciated

Check or replace ignition switch. Common problem, I sell many starters for Corsas due to this! HTH.

Would it be just the switch that needs changing, or would there be other stuff that needs changing with it?
