Toying with the idea of picking up an Astra convertible. I'm just not sure whether to go for a late, low mileage Mk4 (2005/6) or an early Mk5 Twin Top(2006).

Anyone got any thoughts?

I can see the year round practicality bonus of the hard top on the TT, but to be honest I slightly prefer the more subtle styling and interior of the Mk4. Which is the best ownership proposition though?

Not to sure about the tt but the mrs has had a 2002 turbo for 3 years now & it has been a good car. Has been used in all weathers & have had no problems with the roof at all smile

Only down points i would say are the sun visors are totally useless & it runs an odd size tyre which can be difficult to get decent ones without specially ordering them, they are not cheap either cry

Personally I'd get a late and mint mk4. Much better looking.
