Well another friend asking me for advice - so have to turn it over to the PH massive

Cambelt replacement on friends Corsa is well overdue, and where she has just taken it for a service has quoted her £240 (ex Vauxhall dealership), which sounds excessive (even allowing for inflation it was only £100 last time, at a Vauxhall dealers)

So, anyone know a good specialist or indy in the Fleet/Basingstoke area that will do this for a reasonable price?

TIA

Bear in mind that most places will recommend replacing the tensioner, rollers, etc (timing belt kit) and maybe even the water pump. IMO makes good sense but obviously bumps the price up.

The small block XE's were well known for snapping their belts.

I repair vectras(1.8 and 2.0 16valves), well try to with snapped cam belts but they always turn out to be the water pump or a roller / tensioner so would always recommend getting all changed at once!
