Vectra tow bar
Discussion
Hi
would appreciate any comments on fitting a tow bar to my Vectra.
have been told it is easy enough job to fit but there may be problems with the computer dealing with the extra lighting circuit when towing ??
is there any hidden problems and is it better to use plug in adaptor for lighting circuit or break into the loom? (seemingly it makes a difference)
thanks in advance

what model vectra is it? if its a vectra c buy the towbar from vauxhall, its easy to fit and wiring plugs straight into the rear fuse box. just needs programing by vauxhall with tech 2

Basically, as Steve has said, it might work straight out of the box, some cars need programming to accept the wiring loom, some just get on with it. There's no pattern or reason why either scenario occurs, it's just one of those wierd things!hth steve
If its a vectra B then just fit it yourself. Me and the misses fitted mine in an hourish. Scotch blocked into the loom with no problems. Got the tow bar for £85 inc delivery if memory is right.
Got mine from here inc single electrics

I had a towbar fitted to SWMBO car by Towsure.

They did it while I waited
