Hi all, wonder if anyone can advise on a problem a mates car is suffering from.

When trying to use windscreen washers nothing actually comes out, front or rear. The pump makes a noise, there is fluid in the tank, so i'm kind of at a loss what to check next. No leaks are apparent when Pulling the stalk.

Main concern is it looks like a bumper off job to check any further, with the pipes/tubes then been directed through the near side wing upto the scuttle, I know on some Volvo's the T and J pieces can fail, is there a similar problem with VX?

Please help!

Yeah i had the same problem with my corsa. All you need to do is unblock the filter then it should work fine

Does this filter sit in the washer tank?

Looks like my weekend will be spent doing this.

If you take the washer container out it should be on the bottem of it. It only take about 5 mins to do.

I'm not sure where the bottle is on the Corsa, but on the Vectra it appears to be infront of the passenger front wheel, meaning either bumper off or wheel and arch liner off. frown

Cheers though, worth a shot I guess! smile

Getting the bumper off is a 10 minute job tops. Really easy to do and gives proper access to the washer bottle.

2 screws in each wheel arch, 2 clips on top of the bumper in from the headlights, 4 clips under the front middle, undo all these, give the bumper a sharp tug and it's off.
