2007 astra electrics

Hi, I recently bought a nice 2dr SXI. I like the car especially when I hit the sport button.

My problem is the electrics. I have had several things blow and need replacing which I have done myself.
My problem is the center console power socket has stopped working. I have checked the fuse n that's fine.
Anyone else had this problem? or got any idea how to fix it? I don't fancy getting to work with a screwdriver and invesigating blind.

Yes, mine also works as and when it can be bothered. If you remove the ashtray assembly (2 torx screws) and then check the multiplug is tight on the rear of the cigarette lighter as they are prone for being pulling and creating a poor connection. If the wiring is fine and there is power across the terminal then a replacement socket can be found in the breakers for a couple of quid.
