corsa b 2.0 8v what are they like ie reliability/ performanc

hi need some help i currently own a corsa b 1.4 16v sport but i have the chance of buying a 2.0 8v cheap needs a few little jobs but nothing major just want some advice of people who have owned one i would like to know what there like day to day driving what mpg it will do also whats the performance like compared to say a vts saxo or 106gti ideally i want a redtop but supoose this would do for now oh forgot its the 130bhp engine aswell any help would be appreciated thanks!!
