Hi guys just some advice please.I was playing silly sods in my astravan sportive doin a couple of handbrake turns in the snow.Cut long story short ended up getting the cable seized up on the way to work which resulted in smoking n/s drum.Made call to directline and got picked up within the hour on breakdown truck which was great.
Came home jacked her up and realised when handbrake is pulled hard it doesnt release when handbrake rod thingy is relesed.
Off i go and buy a cable it is the type with 4 sections one from handbrake to joining block and then 1 large cable which is the one i brought down to the drums which have short cable that this connects too and goes inside drum.

Question is? did the supplier pull my trousers down knowing i was in an emergency bear in mind i have used this factor for 20 plus years they charged me £39 was i ripped off as looking on the net they all seem half what i paid. This part is from first line automotive part number fkb 2588 any of you parts guys or gals give me some advice cheers. ps not tight but dont like being ripped off and thing they may have wacked me full full retail.

FKB2588 retails at £42.16 + VAT. It would cost me £22.35 + VAT. You haven't been mugged, but you might want to stop playing silly buggers in icey carparks...

I got the tomfoolery in carparks out of my system when I was young with the help of a Nova and stolen McDonalds trays.
