On mine, I'm using Vredestein Sessanta Ultracs, 235/35/19's.

Been on 10000 miles, fronts are just half worn, Rears virtually untouched.

On the Wifes, I've used Falken FK452 (same size) were OK, lasted 10000 miles, were pretty grippy in all weathers, Avon ZZ3's on the back at the moment, seem OK, but like I say, mine don't really use the rears (proper laser allignment is a godsend) so it's not really a useable comparison yet.

If you can get them, go for the Vreddies.

4000 miles from a set of fronts? Running 350bhp out of it??????

It looks like I'll get at least 60,000 out of the set of Triangles on the front of my Vectra.

Mind you though, it's all up and down the motorways and it's a raw 98bhp they have to deal with....

What on earth are you doing!?!? I'd expect more than 4000 miles out of a set of front tyres even on an Astra VXR running 300BHP...

I get about 30,000 out of my fronts. My rears are due to be replaced after 67,000 miles. All motorway driving.

I got 20k out of the factory fit Goodyear NCT5. Rears lasted 25k. Replaced with Bridgestone Turanza ER300 which I've seen 40-50k out of on an Astra. Shame the tyres lasted longer than the engine on the Vectra.

on my focus ST (pretty powerful and heavy) my front tyres lasted 8000 miles and that was with a good caning and them being softy compound continentals.

4000 miles is a crazy joke.

i know. 4k on a standard car... me thinks the tyres were from a duff batch.. the tread when looked at had worn heavily across the tyre, but moreso either side of the middle so it looked like a humpbacked bridge....

time will tell.........

In my 1.8 Vectra I bought it and sold it 10,000 miles later and had near-on the same amount of tread left as when I bought it, and that includes motorway/normal driving, and spirited driving along with quite a bit of burning rubber out of my driveway if I was late for work. That was running on Continentals.

As I've only done 1,000 miles in the 2.0T so far I can't comment on the tyres.
