Removing sound deadening from Corsa C

Hi All

I've recently bought a Corsavan as a track support vehicle. I've found that the carpets and footwells are absoultely sodden. I managed to remove the carpets yesterday but the worst moisture appears to be the sound deadening that starts underneath the pedals and goes behnd the dash. Can anyone tell me how to remove it?

Also, any ideas where the water is coming from, blocked drainage holes etc.
