Just wondered if anyone could advise me on a ball park figure for a full respray of a VX220 Turbo? I appreciate that it will vary from play to place but a rough figure would be great. Cheers

Worth noting that the VX because of its height, shape, material and paint quality is very prone to stone chips.
If you want a pristine one you'll probably need a respray and then factor a few hundred quid so some sort of film protection...

Try asking here: http://vx220.org.uk

Quite a few people have had cars resprayed for various reasons and prices seem to vary quite a lot. And definitely factor in the cost of some clear film protection for the car when you're done - as mentioned above they are extremely prone to stone chips.

3 - 4K!

Is that hand painted by Italian Virgins smile

Vauxhall quoted me £1500 for a full respray. A smaller local firm said they could do it for £800.

Now if £800 was a really good job in a decent colour, I'd be tempted to change the colour of my car biggrin

It's true. When I sold mine the front was absolutely covered in them. Get some paint protection and you should be fine.

Don't fool around with cheap resprays. If it's been outside and started bubbling then it needs a complete strip down and to be oven baked. Ask the paint shop if it will be oven baked or it won't cure the problem.
