1994 Vauxhall Corsa 1.4 possible start problems.
Discussion
Hi all,
Been looking for a cheap little run about for my mum, i've looked at a 1994 Corsa 1.4i GLS tonight and to start with it wouldn't start, after a few goes it started but then cut out after idling very poorly for a few seconds, after this it started straight away and idled as you'd expect, i then turned it off and started it again which it did with no problems, after a 5 minute drive out in the car i turned it off again and re started it which again it did with no problems, the guy is claiming that it's not been started for a couple of weeks, could this be the reason it didn't start first time or are there any common/other problems that could be the cause?
Cheers for any advice in advance.

Sounds about right. If you're still interested in the car, go back today and try it.
My old work had a 1.4i Corsa as a hack, and it would run like a bag of spanners if left for a few days (usually throwing the EML in the process). Once restarted it was fine. Did that for 8 years and nearly 150k.
