Monaro - What mpg are people getting?

Can any Monaro owners give me an idea of what mpg they are getting? I want to know if running one is completely beyond the realms of my common sense? I do a lot of miles and currently run a 3.2 Vectra getting 27mpg so I am aware the Monaro would be quite a drop from this.

You are probably best off posting this question on the HSV & Monaro forum, where you will get lots of responses. Monaro mpg will vary greatly depending on type of use and driving style.

I average 22-23 on a 5.7, with a mixture of A/B roads and dual carriageway and only the occasional heavy right foot, but no stop-start traffic.

26-ish achievable on a decent motorway run.

On a run we get 22-23 mpg, around town 15-16, thundering down the 1/4 about 2-3 and its always damn good fun

He hasnt got lead stilettos like you then Mel. I saw 35MPG when I was travelling with a carefull driver to Marham for the track day. Made up for it on the track though 85 miles to a 70L tank
