I'm only 6', but the consensus seems to be that it depends where your height is (legs or body). I think if you have a long body there are problems with your head on the roof. best to check by sitting in one - where you based? a member from vx220.org.uk will be happy to show you round one if you are local (I am in Twickenham if you're close)
reliability wise, they are both as good as each other... same things break, engine mounts, radiators & expansion tank. tyres, pads and disks take a bit of a hammering too my suspension feels a bit tired now at 35k miles, but will be fine until next year at least
nothing major to go wrong, just make sure if it has been accident repaired a proper well documented job has been done

I'm 6ft5 and I have a VX220.
Its a bit of a squash but very driveable (is that a word?)
It does depend on your proportions somewhat but I've given myself a smidge more room by shortening the gearstick and fiddling with the arrangement of the seat a bit.
Both NA and turbo are reliable, not the nicest of cars to work on if thats your thing as its a large engine squeezed into a small space. The turbo is obviously quicker with more tuning potential but the NA is lighter and much cheaper!
They are bigger inside than a series 1 elise if that helps...
