Not sporty but need help with Vivaro...

Hi, does anyone know why when on start up it will not rev, only happens when been left overnight, turn key, starts lovely, but will not rev for maybe 10 seconds, this length of time seems to be getting longer, any help would be great, is it a vauxhall common fault? Cheers.

10 seconds is nothing - be patient and let the oil chuck itself around

Not noticed that on mine! What engine do you have? Is it the 1.9TDI

I've had this happen on couple of vivaro's that I have jump started.

Is it slow in cranking over or is there no real difference?
It could possibly be that your battery is getting a bit old and so when you come on a morning it struggles a bit and the 10 seconds your waiting could just be waiting for the alternator to cover the loads.
