Opinions on the corsa SXi 1.2

I have a 51 plate corsa SXi and I love it to bits. Everything is standard apart from the alloys and hifi system

I liked mine, was a facelift SXI 1.2 in blue. Pretty sturdy too, I walked away after rolling it on the M62.

A lot of people slate it for having poor handling, but I never found it to be a problem

I've got a 2004 Facelift 1.2 Twinport SXi, and i love it to pieces. Its a terrific little car, looks good and goes plenty, handles quite nicely although i get occassional understeer. Anyone ever driven a 1.8? I hear they go like the clappers, but the fuel consumption is unbeliveably bad.

Iv driven my parents 2008 1.7 CDTi diesel astra and thats fantastic its accelerates pritty well for a diesel and i have to admitt it sounds brilliant aswell

They are too heavy on fuel for me.

The 1.8 is pretty quick,in a straight line anyway at about ~125bhp. I dont know how well the chassis copes with the power though, may be a little understeer happy.

Fuel wise, I think the qouted figures are ~45mpg for the 1.2, and ~37mpg for the 1.8 which is pretty good IMO

I loved my 1 litre Corsa, it was a 2002 52, so had the fettled bits Lotus did.....so it handles fantastically well.

I cant find any literature anywhere that says Lotus had anything to do with this car. At all.

In fact, having owned one for several years, I am sure they didnt. It just doesnt handle particularly well.

i've got a sxi 1.2 and its a pretty nippy car, cant really complain about it.
does anyone know if the radio codes are the same for all corsa sxi's? becuase i cant find my code for the radio as it has gone inot security mode becuase i was messing with the electrics the other day
