why do new vauxhalls make me feel sick

new vauxhalls have a certain ambiance about them that make me feel car sick.
im pointing at my friends astra vxr and another friends vectra life. doesnt happen in the cavalier turbo. anyone ever had this. i get it in no other cars.

You probably dont like the smell of whatever glues/plastics Vauxhall use. My Vectra does have a lot of cheap plastic in it and I suspect it's that which gives it a specific smell.

Does it relate to motion or not? Aircon or Not ?

If you sat in the VXR with windows open whilst it is driven and feel sick, then I'd say it was some combination of damping, spring rates, chassis stiffness how would it feel ? Usually saggy suspension like on an Austin Princess would cause this, but too hard and unforgiving might also.

If you sat in the car with engine off, but aircon blower on, would you feel more sick ?

If you sat in the car engine off with blower off would that be okay ?

Personally I reckon, it's mould release agent and glue that's the most likely cause, it could be something in the aircon system - too much cleaner ?

Won't happen in the Cav turbo, because after (what 12 years?) it'll all be dry by now.

well thats a lot of variables to consider. i was thinking it was more the way it smells and the general ambience of it rather than the ride but it could possibly be a combination of things.

Combination is usually right, but try turning aircon off and opening a window, and look straight ahead.

i also get this sickness. it is almost like sea sickness which i also get and reading in the passenger seat sickness. but yes sickness in vauxhalls from roughly 2000 onwards
