Guys i could do with some help, i'm trying to trace the owner of ST07 ZZO, i know it is registered to the following vehicle :-

SILVER VAUXHALL CORSA HATCHBACK 1.2i 16V Life 5dr (2006 - Model On) Manual 1229cc

If any of you are members on various Vauxhall forums i would be very grateful if you could post on them. Nothing malicious i'm just interested in buying the plate! Thanks for any help, Dave.

Try writing to DVLA with the reason and ask for the owners deatils. You never know as they will give out details like this for certain reasons but IIRC they charge you for the pleasure. Could always ring them first to find out if it is possible 0870 240 0010.

If it is a plate originally assigned to the car, then I'm afraid you won't be able to buy it.

Pardon!
What you are saying is there is no market for any selling or buying of any plates at all. erm, NO!

No, what I was saying was that you cant go and 'sell' your reg you got with your car. Just like my mother cant sell her reg plate J664 WDC. You can however, buy and sell cherished plates.

If the aforementioned plate earlier in the thread is a cherished plate then I sadly made a mistake. If it was assigned to the car when it rolled off the production line, then AFAIK I am correct.

What makes a plate "cherished" then?

If the car was given the number at first registration I think you'll find she can transfer it onto another vehicle/retention certificate and would therefore be able to sell it.

The plate was originally on DVLA's site for sale. My chances of finding it are zero so no point worrying, as they say you should take the opportunity when you have it!
