Is it true these have a timing chain? What is required regards to changing or servicing them? Is it like a cambelt in that it needs replacing every 60K?

If it's got a chain it should go the life of the engine, the only problem is I think the 1.2 is a 3 cylinder job so the life isn't too long.

It's a 1.2 16V. I'm sure it has 4 cylinders. Think the later cars were 3.

I wasn't sure myself, my neighbour has a W reg 1.2 12 valve so that's what I went off.

I've now got the problem that Halfords don't list the HT part number, andI can't find it anywhere. Any ideas?

It's a 1.2 16v Corsa (2001).

Your car is 4 cylinder and does have a chain. They are known to fail but often make a lot of noise before they do and failure is normally down to lack of servicing or not maintaining the oil level (these engines new or old always use oil) you wont find HT leads because it does not have any due to it having a coil pack that attaches directly to the spark plugs.
