Out company has said that we can claim back at 48mpg, however the first 250 miles were 38mpg and then the next 550 miles which was to Birmingham and back (motorway) was 42mpg.

What is everyone elses experiences.

Cheers

I'd say around the 45MPG mark is about right for motorway work, from what the lads on the Astra forum say.

The 120 isn't as economical as the 150. I would very much doubt you'll ever see 48mpg unless you're going downhill on a dual carriageway....

I would expect in reality you would see 40-45 on motorway, and 35-40 around town.

Driving an Astra with the same engine, I can just about manage 47 mpg on a 25 mile commute each way - bit of urban driving, bit of NSL 'A' road and a bit of the M1. Quite tricky due to it being all too easy to drive a little more exuberantly - when I get in the region of 40-41 mpg.

First tank for around 43mpg, second was 47mpg, can see this one being that though, using the old aircon!
