Water has got behind the plastic covering the break lights etc on my vx220. Any idea how to get it out and stop it happening again?

They all do that!

If you have any warrantee left take it to your dealer and demand a replacement

If not then remove the light from the car, pour some distiled water into the light and slosh it around a bit before pouring out to remove any water marks, then leave the light to dry overnight on a radiator.

Get some black silicone from halfords for about £7 and seal around the edges of the light, give it time to dry, and re-fit.

Job done!

I had 2 sets of replacement lights that all leaked before sealing them and have never had a problem since!

Thanks Simba - How do you get the covering off? Is there a release catch? The handbook has no clues.

Cheers

its not an easy task... I used a hair dryer (heat the old sealant) a knife and a lot of swearing
