Vectra Full Beam Staying on

Help, the full beam light in the dash is staying on, along with the full beam lights. I've had to take two fuses out for it to stop, any idea's?

sounds like a short off the back of the instrument panel. may be worth having a look there....

What age?

The full beam switch in the indicator stalk on Vauxhalls from about 1994-2000 (not sure of the exact years) relies on spring tension and wears out over time, symptoms of this are full beam coming on when indicating, full beam flashing going over bumps, or full beam sticking on.

Its 2000. I have only noticed it happen this morning on the way to work and it constantly stayed on

Happened to my old vectra .. repalced the indicator stalk and it fixed the problem (cost me £5 from ebay and took about 10 mins to fix it)

Yep, very easy - just use philips screwdriver (medium sized) and off you go.
