VX220T bigger intercooler or chargecooler?
Discussion
Has anyone got any thoughts or practical experience of a VX220T fitted with a bigger intercooler or converted to chargecooler?
I have always gone for bigger intercoolers (have always owned Saabs up to now and fitted intercoolers in favour of the more expensive charge cooler systems) as cooling is proportional to speed and they're cheaper to buy and fit. My tendancy would be to go for a bigger intercooler (such as the one offered by Regal) as its cheaper and probably achieves the same results unless you're driving really hard for a prolonged period e.g. several laps on a track.
Has anyone had negative or positive experiences with an intercooler?

there are many many threads on www.vx220.org.uk discussing this.
My own choise would be the courtenay charge cooler kit, unfortunatly it costs a fortune.

chargecooler on order, so will let you know!
personally the chargecooler looks a better setup to me than a larger i/c on a mid engined car due to positioning and heat, esp on a hot day. having a pre-rad mounted at the front should be way more effective in cooling than just an I/C stuck next to a hot engine bay. (slightly over simplified!!)
cost is the issue though...
