A few of my past fast Vauxhalls (56k no)
Discussion
Site looks great guys, I thought I'd share these with you...
My first Vauxhall was when I was 17, a literally perfect early XE Calibra. So clean you could eat off it!
I was totally smitten and had a Calibra Turbo shortly after that amongst other things (106 GTi, Celica GT4, R5 GT Turbo)
Later on I bought a nice 1996 Calibra Turbo in north cape metallic. I did a full engine rebuild on this including a Blydenstein head, ARP head studs, steel rods with ARP bolts, polished crank, EDS phase 2 software, 14.4 litre FMIC, LUK clutch, F28 6 speed box and VTS 4wd system
Interior was full cream leather with all electrics and aircon. I added some richbrook bits and an Alpine/Kicker ICE setup
Later on in it's life it got 18" BK 299 alloys and Hi-Spec 4 pot brakes as well as a full suspension rebuild... and nitrous!
Then I got a C20LET Corsa which was crap lmao, so back to another Calibra Turbo, this time a 1997 P-plate Limited Edition.
This had a tubular manifold, GT28RS turbo, bigger injectors, nitrous (never fully tested sadly) and another VTS transfer box. Body wise it has some nice BBS RX 17" alloys and louvred bonnet.
My current runner is this nice little Corsa GSi 16v on Speedlines.
It's got a front grille and centrecaps now thankfully and has just had a new gearbox and some other mods. It's also got a remus centre section, K&N and some Gmax suspension.
109bhp isn't exciting at all, but gets me around
New discs, pads, lower arms etc... were done a few months back
I'm also building a pure track/drag based Calibra Turbo which should be ready sometime later this year... can't give too much away though but it's gonna be quick and as light as possible.
Cheers
Ben
