before you lock it press the alarm button on the dash that will cut out the incar sensors, if the alarm stops going off you know it was them if it still goes off then just pull the fuze. Mind you if you're insurance company know you do it they will screw you over.

Hi,

well we have tried the button to disable the motion sensors and the alarm is still going off. we are now back to dissconecting the battery so as not to wake our neighbours baby.

Have looked in the handbook at the fuse lay out but the alarm is not listed in any of the 41 possitions.

looks like we will have to take it to vauxhall next time we get chance.

Thanks

I had similar fault on my Zafira. Have you checked all the door sensors as mine turned out to be the sensor on the tailgate. Took 4 weeks to get to that point by which time I stopped locking the car at night just to get some sleep!

Which Vectra is it as the second generation of Vectra was known to have a problem with the alarm going off due to changes in air pressure in the cabin due to the air vents being left open.

Hi Guys sorry did not notice the replies.

Took the car to vauxhall they had it all day ,told me they had fixed it and I could go and pick it up. While I was in the dealers I could here an alarm going off guess what.

anyway eventualy they unplugged the wires to the rear saide windows(estate car) the alrms have not gone off since. They are saying I need 2! new windows to fix it which sounds like rubish to me both windows failed at the same time?

anyway it does seem to be a problem with thre rear side windows and unpluging them has solved it.
