04 Reg 1.8 Astra Coupe - Shall I Buy?

Hi Guys, i may soon be the owner of a 1.8 Astra Coupe. I'm only 19 so pretty pleased; so bearing this in mind, is it a good car to go for - i'm after some fun handling and a good engine. I test drove it and it felt great, although my current car is a 1980 mini so i would say that!

The car is an 04, with 18,900 miles on the clock and is the 1.8 Bertone edition.

The price is £7,495 - 12 month MOT, all the usual FSH... - so is this a good price, or is there something better i should be getting.

good car and you'll have no shortage of skirt while you own it but how much is your insurance?

Its a group 9, so for me being 19 with Tesco it costs me £900.

For the remainding 6 months of my policy, its an extra £250, so i may look around when the policy needs renewing.

Just another thing: this will be REALLY rarely, but if i decide to take it to Castle Combe or something, is it going to behave itself on the track, or is it just a showy car, with not great handling?

*I have read reviews on the handling being good, and seeing as this was a BTC i think it might be ok*
