How do you remove polish from black plastic?

OK, lots of Meguires went on the car last weekend.

I managed to get some on the rear mud flaps, at the side. The polish does not seem to come off. So far I have tried Autoglym Intensive Tar remover, but that had absolutely no effect. I'm hoping it's not a chemical reaction that's stained the flap white.

Anyone know if & how this can be rectified to remove the polish stain?

It usually ends up coming back through the back to black once the b2b wears off which is a right pisser

Use my tried and tested method...

Drive it, not clean it

Change your wax to one that does not contain additives ( this is what turns the black trim white).Try a search on Ebay for Harley wax.It is exceptional. £25 gets you a tin.It even shines up the black trim should you get in on it.

I have some residue polish left just below the centre brake light. Bought the car with it on there and there's no way it's coming off any time soon. Tried everything (Except a brillo pad)

Try 3M Imperial hand glaze ( a light/medium abrasive) that should do the trick..
