VX220 possible problem - Help!

I'm getting a new noise when I accelerate hard at fairly low revs. Its a sort of wooshing sound, over and above the turbo sounds. It might be my imagination, but I think I'm loosing performace too.

Anyone got any ideas?

I would take it too my local dealer but I'm having some fairly serious ongoing issues with them at the moment.

P.S. might have nothing to do with it, but just before I bought the car from the as yet un-named dealer, they told me it needed a 'turbo part' replacing. This was after 350 miles from new !!!!
