Vauxhall Combo Life: Can you make front seats fully recline?

Hi

I'm looking for a new car and the Combo Life ticks all the boxes except for one thing.... The front seats only recline part way (maybe around 45 degree angle at the lowest?). We often go away for short breaks in the car and sleep in the front, with the seats fully reclined. So without that we'd have to rule this model out.

Does anyone know if there is anything that can be done to the seats to allow them to fully recline?

The same is also true of the Citroen Berlingo, which is based on the same platform. So would probably also be true for the Peugeot Rifter, which again is based on the same platform.

Any aversion to sleeping in the back instead?

I've seen people with similarly small vans push the front seats forwards and slot an air mattress in the back.

No, no aversion. We would do that sometimes, but would also like the flexibility to choose between both options. We also have a dog and so need to factor that in, along with how many nights we're away for, how much gear we have with us, and various other things....

Just bumping this up in case anyone might have an answer....

I was wondering whether there is something physical that stops the front seats from fully reclining, and if so whether it can be removed? Or can some other adaptation be made so that the front seats can fully recline and not stop half way as they currently do?

Got a couple of photos showing the limited recline of the front seats, so thought I would share them here... Both show the driver's seat in maximum recline position.
