vauxhall onstar - gone!
Discussion
appreciate this may not be news to the forum or to some on it... onstar is no longer usable on vauxhalls.
I bought a 2018 insignia grand sport, and whilst I didn't buy it for the 'online' services it seems they have all been withdrawn due to vauxhall changing hands.
I understand there is a new vauxhall connected services thing, but i am not sure if it is usable on my car... the dealer says different to the internet.
Anyone else in this same boat?

Not a vauxhall but my 2017 Audi S5 should have full google maps built in, including on the virtual cockpit which looks awesome.
But....
There was some switch up and google stopped providing this service for cars older than 2019, even thought it is compatible and used to be there.
Newer ones still have it.
It's not a big deal as I use apple car play for navigation 99% of the time, but the virtual cockpit would look nicer if I still had it.

Google suggests the Onstar service was withdrawn 31st December 2020, if it's taken until now for you to notice, I'd suggest the service wasn't that useful in the first place.
i've only just bought the car FFS - it is a used car. Where in my post did it sound like I've been driving it for 5 years. Gassing Station | VX | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
