A little help, guys. Like all of you I adore the VX, turbo especially, and I'm champing at the bit to buy one. One problem exists though. I have an Astra Coupe 2L Turbo at the moment and need to sell it to afford VXT loveliness. It's a beautiful, year old example with 7500 miles on it.

I've tried Autotrader, signs in the car and eBay all to no avail. The only interest I got from Autotrader was those agencies telling me they had 8 people interesting in my car, and if I gave them £80, they'd quite happily send them round. Do they lie? Sounds properly dodgy to me!

Anyone got any suggestions of where I'm likely to get a good price?

(and if anyone's interested, check out the classifieds! )

According to Parkers (If I have the right model details)...

Cost New ('04) £ 19077
Franchised Dealer £ 12190
Independent Dealer £ 11330
Private Good £ 10465
Private Poor £ 8545
Part Exchange £ 9790

You have it advertised for £12,750

If someone is using Parkers for a guide then I think they will be put off by your asking price.

P/ex's always get rubbish prices. My dad works for a Vauxhall dealer, and they wil only give prices way, way down on market value.

Both my Dad and brother have checked on prices for me (as they both work in the motor industry), and they found prices of £13000 at a dealer and around £12k for a good private model... curious. I've just checked Parkers online and it gives the same information as above. I'll have to check into that.

Thanks guys.
