The company I was working for went bust, it's was pretty certain in the last few weeks so I put it up for sale assuming it would take me a couple of months to find a job.
I ended up finishing on a Friday and starting on a Monday, I could have kept the car I was gutted.
But the na I have has had engine mods, fully adjustable spax, brakes and geo storted. It's a little gem, still miss the extra grunt from the turbo though!
But I have added to my toy collection with a 98 GSXR SRAD.
Fancy a meet for old times sake???

ah.. that explains it then...
lovely looking car in red (prefer it to silver )
were you driving back towards warwick gates from sainsburys today at ~7:30pm ? have seen a red one around a few times now.. although it wasn't as clean as in the photo above
as for the run on the 27th.. I can safely say I'm not at all unhappy about not being able to make it...
...because, at that time I shall be mid-way through the col de la bonette in the middle of the french alps.. on our way to the cote d'azur for 2 weeks
tehe.. would like to do another run sometime though.
what bits and bobs have been done to the engine on your NA, and what sort of power does it make? seen a few threads on vx220.org mentioning ~175bhp which sounds pretty good considering it's a bit lighter than the turbo... do you reckon you need the extra grunt from the turbo, or is it just greed

I am living in manchester, and the car in at the shop at the mo so no. I have no problem leaving a standard turbo behind on some twistys it's only a fraction behind in a straight line. But the previous owner spent £5k on it to get it to that stage. Bhp is about 180 at the mo.
I would drive both but I would say the turbo is the car to go for and they are getting cheaper and cheaper mint 03 examples with some toys are going for a little over £17k. They lack the feel of the na this is have way cured with geo setup and sorted with nitrons or similar.
I see your thinking about one, I would go for a modded na or a standard turbo.
I should be working down your way in August if you want to try my na
