Been having problems with my car lately and the EML came on, at first no loss of power but yesterday noticed car seems to be struggling going up hill. Had RAC out who diagnosed "P2279, Intake Air System" and said likely caused by a sticking EGR Valve (known to had this problem awhile ago but blast on motorway seem to solve it).

Spoke to a few garages today about removal and cleaning it out. Few quotes around £50-£80 mark. But also given a quote of £150 to remap the EGR.

Would this likely solve my issue? I have asked about for a quote for replacing the EGR all together but no prices of yet.

Anyone had similiar issues? Would remapping solve the issue or am i best replacing?

They mean mapping the egr out completely. It will cure the problem of your egr coking up.
