Astra H cold start issue

When the temperature is cold outside and the car has been sat overnight/while I'm at work the car struggles to start and if it doesn't fire up the first time its even harder to get it to start on the second attempt.

When the outside temperature is a bit warmer (8.5 degrees C when I drive today) it starts fine. I fitted a brand new battery not long ago and it made no difference.

Car is a twintop 1.8 (petrol) 57 plate.
