1.0 litre Corsa problems help

Hi I'm at a loss I heard a loud noise from my engine last week so I've pressure tested the cylinders and cylinder 3 has no compression at all so I've took the head off and found a hole in the piston does anyone know if it's common and what the cause could be.

the engine code is z10 exp 1.0L it’s done just over 60,000 miles

Probably long-term cumulative effects of overworked/lugged (undersize) engine and low quality fuel.

Ok I’ll fit a new piston and see how it goes just didn’t want to rebuild it and it break again

Could also be an injector fault or air intake leak.

That's what I thought an injector issue or a lambda fault putting the fueling out
