Looking at the possibility of getting one of these but have heard of gearbox woes and trouble piston 4, plus the generally fragile nature of these, is anyone able to tell me different?
Car in question only has 31k on the clock, on a 11 plate but perhaps this is worse than more miliage just not sure, thoughts?

P4 and the ‘box are internet weak points but i wouldn’t worry to much. Just do the usual checks. The ‘boxes do moan and groan on full lock and it’s because of the tightly packed Drexler LSD.
Regular ‘box oil changes will keep it quiet and in good health.
Also as the car runs a Bilstien B12 Suspension as standard, make sure it’s still got the correct Blue Springs as they are prone to snapping and VX charge a small fortune. So many just put normal springs on which ultimately makes the car ride higher and handles sloppy...
