Zafira Tourer - Pleasantly surprised

Well an altercation with my much loved VW Golf GTD saw a rented 18 plate Zafira Tourer 1.6 CDTi arrive. I was not looking forward to it having driven a Zafira ten years ago. Well actually it's a very car. Quiet comfortable and well built. It's got a very punchy engine that returns over 50 mpg and I have seen over 60 mpg on a gentle motorway run. It's fair to say the car has changed my mind especially with really good equipment levels. It has a good ride and handling although a bit soft is as good as I would expect from a spacious (and its very roomy) seven seater. All told unexpectedly I have found an unlikely replacement for our old Volvo XC90!
