Hello all.
New to this side of pistonheads, been hanging out in the Lotus area alot, but starting to come to my senses????

What are the different versions of VX avalible? Other than a turbo whats the difference between the standard 2.2 and the turbo versions?

Cheers

Heh - can open, worms everywhere.

The VXT is faster and set up slightly softer than the NA so it's a bit more comfortable. It also had the option of more kit (central locking, better stereo, "touring pack" that added sound deadening, etc), and came with a slightly nicer interior (leather on the door and central tunnel, for example).

Many owners (of both) claim that the NA handles slightly better, possibly due to the firmer set up, possibly due to having a slightly lighter engine. I've not driven the turbo, so can't comment in this regard!

The owner's club is quite a friendly place - www.vx220.org.uk , and there's a buyer's guide hidden there somewhere.

The NA is a 2.2 and the Turbo a 2.0

The turbo also responds to tuning at a much greater bang per buck level, like all turbo charged cars...

Try both, the NA is a lot closer to the Elise idea than the Turbo but the Turbo is FAR quicker than the NA or any of the normal Elises.
