My daughter has a 1.4 twin port which is a really great car for first time driver low 36,000 miles on a 2006 plate but recently she has experienced some unexplained electrical faults all when we have low temperatures.
First a few weeks back for no apparent reason the hazard warning lights started to flash as she was leaving the fuel station to go the the train station .So she took the car home and when she locked it to walk back the hazards stopped. This morning when we had -6 degs the interior light wouldn't go out when she locked the car again at the train station.
Has anyone any ideas what is causing this before we embark upon the expensive route of a VX dealer not something you want on a low paid job and the new year.
Any help wpuld be much appreciated
Cheers

Get the battery checked properly first. Halfords do a free battery and alternator check.

I wouldn't take a 10 year old car to a dealership. Plenty of good independent garages out there if you know where to look. If you post your general location up in here or in the regional forum someone may be able to recommend one
