So, give us the lowdown on the new motor: initial impressions, spec., pictures - the usual malarky.

Oh, and congratulations by the way. Never before has a car purchase been in gestation for quite so long.

I sent Greg a write up this morning...

I'll see if I have a strategic edit of that kicking about.

Got it last night at 7pm and have done almost 300 miles since. Its GREAT!

Pic on profile but more to come, when its a bit cleaner than it is now.

If I manage to get a place you are more than welcome to the keys on the 20th.

Love a ride in it if possible - looking forward to seeing it (and such a fine colour too ).

Well, I can get in with about an inch to spare between my head and the roof.

This means helmets are out unless the roof is off, which is no biggie really...

You could always take the roof bars out and support the soft top on your helmet

I've got them Rick but in tart spec red and black.

The Mulsanne CF jobbies apparently place you a good 2 inches closer to the ground but at £1500 each they can wait.

You're not selling yours are you?

Nope! although the shoulder pads are about an inch too low for me so they aren't perfect.

Apparently the bloke selling has lowered the driver's seat by about 2 inches to get a bit more headroom. I thought you might be interested (or could do similar to yours).

Mine are "tart's handbag" red and black too BTW

edited to say...

Oh selling the car you mean? Not sure. My knees find it hard work getting in and out. Once I'm in it's fantastic, but then I have to get out (easy with the roof off)
