Radio code on 2005 Corsa...
Discussion
Bought a 2005 Corsa for my Son, nice condition and generally pleased with it, however a previous owner must have fitted an aftermarket stereo as although it has the standard fit 'CD30' radio/CD unit fitted and working, it is a loose fit due to not having the fitting cage in the dash opening.
I have located a cage but it has occurred to me that the radio may have a code which I don't know and is not written in any of the manuals. To fit the cage will mean unplugging the radio and, presumably if a code is required I'll then be locked out.
So do these have a code? either for every fitting or just for if fitting to another vehicle (I assume it is the original stereo from this car but can not be sure).
Any advice?

IIRC with the s/n of the head unit or maybe even the reg of the car, Vx should be able to provide the code for it. There used to be a charge for this so assume there still is. They may also tell you they can't get the code - they can, they're just being lazy or don't want to take money for something that's relatively easy (should be on the Vx data base).
