Vauxhall Insignia 2.8 VXR - Opinions please.
Discussion
Hi,
Spotted a 2010 Vauxhall Insignia 2.8 VXR estate with low (16k) miles for sale.
Online photos look great. Very clean and sorted.
What's the reliability of these like? Anything I ought to be looking out for in particular? The car is located 300 miles away so if I make the trip along to see it it's with every intention to buy.
Any advice welcome.
Thank you,
M.

They aren't cheap to run! Brakes are expensive! Rear shocks and we've had the odd one or two in for a diff rebuild. I can search any dealer history if you know the reg but will be tomorrow?
Thank you very much! The listing has dealer plates obscuring the reg.plate, so would need to call the dealer in the a.m. to ascertain the actual reg. no.It comes with an RAC warranty, but I've been stung big time with warranties in the past.
A few have had issues with Timing Chains - not a common problem though, pretty isolated.
The same is happening on some Vectra VXRs, which runs an earlier adaptation of the same engine...
I have seen issues with Wheel Finish problems, Brembo issues and Rear Diff issues too. Most of these seem to have had Recalls or simple Warranty repairs to resolve.
