06 astra vxr no boost
Discussion
Morning everyone ..
Basically I have an intermittent engine fault on my astra vxr ..over the past couple of days an engine service light keeps popping up and while it's on I have no boost and the car feels really flat .. then it goes and performance is normal ...I just wondered if anyone had experienced the same issue and could shed some light on the problem so I have some idea before I take it to a garage and get screwed haha

Had the car one the diagnostic machine today and its said there is a boost pressure sensor fault .. the lad deleted the fault and it sorted the problem temporarily but a few hours later the issue reacured so I am a bit confused to weather the boost pressure sensor is the actual fault because if there was a problem with it how would deleting the fault fix it if I am making any sense here haha
FYI on all Astra H you can pull up any outstanding codes yourself using the pedal test.
1. Get in car
2. Depress brake and accelerator at same time + turn ignition key to 2nd point
3. Any fault codes will cycle through where the odo normally displays
Unfortunately you can't clear them ypurself

If the fault was cleared and it came back there's obviously an underlying problem.
First thing to do is check all the pipework. I had a similar fault and it was the hose from the C/C or intercooler in your case had come off.
If all pipework looks ok then try a new boost pressure sensor.
