Astra G 1.7CDTI - 4100 revs at 70mph

Hi, my new to me Astra G seems to rev highly at motorway speeds - does anyone know if this is standard gearing or has it had a gearbox swap?

The car in question is a 238,000 mile ex-taxi by the way

seems rather high even by petrol standards for 5th / 6th

Definately, it's a 5 speed box - at 80mph it's past 4,500 I'm curious if this is the way Vauxhall intended?
