Hi all. My Son's G/F wants a Corsa 1.2. her budget will get her a 2007 model.
Were these cars immune to the timing chain problems of the earlier cars?

I've seen a few for sale, around the 40,000-50,000 mile mark, with new chains fitted, which is a worry. Thanks for any replies!

Depends n the quality of oil used and general maintenance I think.

Although the 1.2 in a Corsa D will be catastrophically slow. I'd definitely recommend the 1.4 instead - the gf has a '58 1.4 Corsa D at 45k and the chain isn't rattly at all.

I thought that the 1.4 had a belt, not a chain?

They did in the C, but not the D with the change to z14xep from z14xe. (I think)
