VX220 question

For the road only and power Turbo, For on track, the N/A gives you better response.
You can tune the turbo to get closer to the N/A delivery, get rid of flat spots but never the last little bit, the N/A is a bit flatter on delivery for on road overtaking.
Try them both and decide you will always have days when the other option is greener so choose the one that fits you more of the time.
Both can have noisy exhaust, grippier tyres, will always want to get one where the geo has been done.
Look on VX220.org, bound to be forum members selling at some point.

Turbo for me, I have a stage 4 tuned VXR220 it has mental acceleration, good fuel consumption and will drive normally around town with no problems at all. I am 6'-1" and plenty of room inside, although the boot is limited.
Standard turbo is very quick and the car can be easily tuned without invasive engine work.
Go to the VX200.org site where you will find lots of friendly people and more information than you can shake a stick at.

Thanks for all that. Still contemplating one, alongside an elise (obviously). Not had chance to go and poke around/drive one yet.
That VXR article made me realise I hadn't looked at this thread for a while. I never even realised they were a different car to a regular turbo to be honest.

Just bought a VX220 Turbo after 10 years of TVR's & all I can say is wow! Performance & handling wise, it just blows every TVR I've ever had in to the weeds. The sheer ability of the car is staggering.
Been on track yet? That's where they really shine I've done Track Days at Castle Combe, Llandow, & Pembrey in the TVR's so it will be fascinating to feel the difference. . Can't wait.....

Wow, that's a fine collection. I'm getting the feeling that my Turbo is either a very good one or it has been chipped. The acceleration is quite violent.
Got a leaky front shock now though. Going to put a 2nd hand replacement in for now as it's my daily. Going to overhaul the suspension in the new year/spring. Nothing drastic, it's awesome 'out of the box'.
