son has the above car,sometimes when he goes to start it,it seems to shake violently and lasts for a good few seconds,turn off and try again and all is well.
just seviced it with new oil,filter,air filter,fuel filter,plugs,but no difference.
duel mass was replaced last year.it does'nt do all the time so i kind of ruled out the plugs,fuel pump,regulator,i did wonder if the engine was trying to start backwards.
any one else have this prob or any ideas on a quick fix,cheers in advance

EGR valve? Caused mine to cough & splutter when cold. Remove it (easy enough with a socket set) and see if it's clogged up.
