Damp Corsa

The wife's Corsa has acquired a wet patch on the carpet in the drivers footwell
Are there any common causes for this? I'm aware the fusebox can be a problem on the passenger side

ETA It's a 53 plate

will 100% be the brake master cylinder plate. plate is about £30 from vauxhall last time i checked

or it could be the heater matrix, dont they go aswell and cause dampness.
