Vauxhall insignia auto - direct shift or slushbox?

As title, are the autos used in the insignia conventional autos, or direct shifts like VAG/BMW?

They are proper torque converter auto. The lever will slide over with +and- symbols to allow manual control.

I haad one and liked it but mpg stuffered compared to the manual.
